Privacy Policy

South Media Group Ltd ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through southmedia.co.nz and how we handle it, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our contact form we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number (optional), event type, package of interest, event date, guest count, venue and your message. If you email or call us, we keep the details of that conversation.

Why we collect it

We use your information only to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and plan and deliver your event if you book with us. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't add you to marketing lists without your permission.

Where it's stored and who sees it

Form enquiries are processed and stored by our website host, Netlify, Inc. (United States), and delivered to our business email, provided by Zoho. These providers handle the information on our behalf and only for these purposes. Only the South Media Group team can access your enquiry.

Website analytics and third parties

We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are visited and how many enquiries are sent). It uses cookies and collects information such as your device, browser and approximate location — not your name or contact details. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and the contact page shows an embedded Google Map; Google may receive your IP address when these load. You can block cookies in your browser settings or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and, if you book, for the duration of the booking and our legal and accounting obligations. Enquiries that don't lead to a booking are deleted after 24 months.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. Email info@southmedia.co.nz and we'll respond within 20 working days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
